Greetings and welcome to the web site for Forks of Dix River Baptist Church. We are delighted that you have chosen to visit our web site. It is our hope that you will join us in person on Sunday and discover the love and encouragement of Christ through worship, fellowship, service and ministry. This is a great community in which to live and raise a family. There is so much to discover in this community. This part of Garrard County is rich in history. The natural beauty of the rolling hills and farm land help make this the best place in Garrard Conty to live.

Forks Church was started in 1782 by Lewis Craig and was part of the original "Traveling Church." It has seen many changes over the years. We are no longer in the open country; we find ourselves on the rural-urban fringe. Houses are being built where tobacco once grew and where cattle were once raised and milked. We are learning to adapt and embrace these new opportunities of growth and ministry.

Many people are surprised to discover a church this size offering such a range of ministries on the rural-urban fringe. We are the longest established Baptist church in this community and yet in many ways we are still emerging. We are a vibrant, growing church. Hopefully what you will discover about Forks Church is its greatest asset - its people. May you discover a genuine sense of community, encouragement, and hope. You may also discover that Forks Church is a place to call home and a people to call family.

Our new Family Life Center is now completed and in full operation. Click on the Calendar of Events to the left to see the schedule for when the center is open. All nights are for various age groups in our church family except for Saturday nights. This has beens set aside for the community to come and use our facility.
